Pepperoni Pizza Quesadillas

My oldest son is turning into quite a foodie….he’s been requesting small kitchen appliances as presents for last few years….

His newest toy is his Quesadilla Maker he received as a Christmas gift.

….the other day is was time for me to try the Quesadilla Maker out…..

…..of course I was not going to make just plain quesadillas…..where is fun in that?

Since my¬† boys love thin crust pepperoni pizza I decided to try and experiment with quesadilla maker….the result….PEPPERONI PIZZA QUESADILLAS…..huge success…..
Instead of pizza sauce we used our friend’s homemade BBQ sauce with a kick…..It was delicious.

Pepperoni Pizza Quesadillas
  • 8 Soft Tortillas
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Pepperoni
  • Shredded Cheese
STEP 1: Place the bottom tortilla on the grill. Spread about 1 Tbsp of BBQ sauce on top with leaving the edges empty so the quesadilla maker can seal the edges together.
STEP 2: Put the pepperoni on top of the BBQ sauce and cover with shredded cheese leaving the edges empty.
STEP 3: Cover with another tortilla. Close the quesadilla maker and wait for 2-3 minutes till done.
You can do this using a skillet or frying pan. You just need to flip it so it’s done on both sides.

Just found your site and wanted to share my love for tortilla pizzas too! Although we never made them into a quesadilla – great idea and thanks for the recipe idea!I have to admit that I make pizzas out of tortillas at least 2-3 times a week for dinner. Not sure if you ever tried La Tortilla Factory Low Carb/High Fiber Tortillas. They are only 80cals per tortilla and taste great! They are a great size for pizza although we use the wraps for all of my meals too – breakfast (egg burritos), lunch (all types of wraps such as turkey, veggie..etc) and dinner although they can be also used for snacks (you just have to get creative). If you are interested, we list one of my favorite recipes (Italian Veggie Pizza) on our site. Hope you like the recipe! Thanks for great post and forward to reading more!
