Blue Cheese Wedge Salad

SUMMER….HOT….SUNSHINE…..and of course SALADS….

Yes, my friends the fresh fruit and veggies season officially started and I am loving every minute of it.

It’s time….finally… to introduce reasonably priced salads, fresh fruit and yummy produce into my daily diet without leaving all of my money at the grocery store.

It’s time to turn crispy Iceberg lettuce into WEDGE SALAD…..

I am not talking about ordinary salads….I am talking about 5 STAR fancy restaurant salads made in a comfort of your own home and on a budget.

Here comes….. Blue Cheese Wedge Salad.

This recipe serves 4.

  • 1 Iceberg Lettuce
  • 2 Hard Boiled Eggs (chopped)
  • 8 Tbsp Blue Cheese Dressing
  • 2 Large Chicken Strips (chopped)
  • 4 Red Radishes (sliced)
  • ½ Fresh Avocado (chopped)
  • Crumbled Blue Cheese

STEP 1: Get rid of the outside leaves from lettuce and slice the head of lettuce into quarters.

STEP 2: Place each quarter of  lettuce onto serving plate.

STEP 3: Pour 2 tablespoons of Blue cheese dressing over the lettuce wedge.

STEP 4: Top the lettuce wedge with chopped boiled eggs, chopped chicken strips, sliced radishes and chopped avocado.

STEP 5: Sprinkle with crumbled Blue cheese

VOILA… have fancy restaurant salad……ENJOY
