…..Talk about stressful….last few weeks sure wasn’t a walk in the park for me…., but as they say: “What Won’t Kill You Will Make You Stronger”

I was not able to blog….I couldn’t concentrate on my writing….however….I did spent lot of time in my kitchen trying to think about something other then the accident…..trying to get “What Ifs…” out of my head.

For those who don’t know…..exactly two weeks ago my 9 year old boy was hit by an SUV going 80km/hr being driven by a driver who failed to stop for a school bus in full stop with flashing lights and stop sign pulled out… 14 year old son witnessed this horrible accident.

Miraculously my son survived this ordeal without broken bones and major surgery….few months of physical healing and long…long time of  emotional and psychological healing for both of my children.

Anyway, I decided today was the day to start blogging again….to start moving on and getting on somewhat normal schedule…..





Last week was Valentine’s Day and I wanted to make something special for all the teachers and staff of my son’s school to show our appreciation for all the love and support they showed my son and our family last few weeks….

I decided to make something decadent….something special…TIRAMISU TO GO….

To make Tiramisu To Go use my recipe for Raspberry Tiramisu….without the raspberries. The original recipe should give you 6 to 8 – 250ml jars of  Tiramisu.

For desserts in a jar I always use wide mouth canning jars. Make sure you wash and dry them before using.



Tiramisu To Go



For 12 – 250ml servings of TIRAMISU TO GOyou will need:

  •  36 Lady Fingers
  • 8 Tbsp Instant Coffee
  • 2 cups Hot Water
  • 1/3 cup Tia Maria or Kahlua
  • 500g Mascarpone Cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • Cocoa

Tiramisu To Go is perfect present for anybody…..or little surprise in a picnic basket….

Decorate your jars to the occasion and don’t forget to include a plastic spoon.
