Bloggy Boot Camp & Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves

Good morning my wonderful friends!

Did you miss me? I hope so cause I missed you all!

As you know this past weekend I attended Bloggy Boot Camp in Vegas organized by a wonderful online blogging group called SITS

GIRL…. a group of 40,000 women bloggers supporting each other…..learning from each other….teaching each other….Tiffany Romero (creator & founder) and Francesca Banducci

Bloggy Boot Camp 2012 was my first blogging conference ever….

…I was nervous…..excited…..scared…..did I say nervous?

Then I met Melissa…..waiting for a hotel shuttle….she was so sweet…..genuine….

…..she talked to me……yes, she did & we clicked….the nervousness was slowly melting away….

Long story short…..later that night I was blessed to meet some of the fabulous….supportive…..friendly and oh, so funny women bloggers from SoCal Lady Bloggers tribe….

….and then I knew….this is going to be the best first conference anyone can ask for….

Morning Session @ Bloggy Boot Camp

The next morning……it was conference time…..time to meet more bloggers….make more connection…..meet blogger friends I have been waiting to meet in a real life….learn….listen….be inspired….get pumped……..and I did….

I did it all…..I left the conference inspired…..educated….grateful….full of ideas….ready to bring this blogging gig to the next level…

I learned from and got inspired by successful…..smart…..down-to-earth…..women bloggers who were ready & willing to share everything they know….they were there not to toot their own horn, but to share all their tips….tricks…knowledge with other women

they were there to inspire and empower the rest of us….I could write pages and pages about the impact the Bloggy Boot Camp had on me, but I decided to express it with a song…..

I want to thank you:
Tiffany Romero & Fran Banducci for organizing such a fantastic event….I can’t wait for next year…..

Laurie Turk from Tip Junkie, Cynthia Wheeler from Nap Warden, Trina Finton from Gaming Angels, Gigi Ross from Kludgy Mom, Danielle Liss from Kitten a Go-Go and Elizabeth Jayne Liu from Flourish In Progress

for all the inspiration…..education….support….laughs……& for being so genuine!

I’m so thankful I met you! You are so nice and I am enjoying reading your blog. I hope we can continue to connect and can’t wait to try some of your recipes :D

  2. Looks like you had a great time. And how great was it meeting Jamie!? That is cool. I have never attended a blogging conference before. I am extremely introverted and also have an anxiety disorder. What a lovely combination to attend a blogging conference, right?

I did attend a blogger event I was invited to along with several other bloggers who were all ambassadors for a company. I hid in my hotel room after the cocktail mixer because while I tried to strike up conversations with a few people, I just felt alone. It was like high school all over again for me. I am so glad that attending Bloggy Boot Camp was nothing like that!

Holly, I am the same way….thanks to Jamie I got out of my shell and ventured out. The first night just meeting few ladies for coffee gave me the strength to show up for the conference and I had a great time connecting with others:)

Bibi, I’m so glad you had fun and enjoyed yourself. I know you were nervous because you weren’t sure who you would know there, but I told ya I’d introduce you to some great women, and they are great, aren’t they? =)

And I’m glad you had fun at the German Restaurant =)

I agree with everything you said; BBC Vegas was so inspiring and fun! There were so many great people to meet–that’s the only downside; I didn’t get to meet everyone.
Guess I’ll just have to work harder at the next one. Hope to see you there too!
