“Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination nor both together go to the making of genius. Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.”

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Guten Morgen, Meine Freunde!

Today …… on the Day 4 of 14 Days of Valentine’s Day  I will take you to Austria …..

…. to one of the most romantic places in the world ….. SALZBURG ……

…. place that is very close to my heart ….. place where I was in love ….. place where I tasted my first Heiße Liebe  ( Hot Love in translation)

Heiße Liebe or Hot Love Dessert

….. it was a  time when I was young …. naive …. in love with self-absorbed, selfish & very cheap man who on rare occasion surprised me with special outings & treats …..

….. during one of the special outings …… during starry night …… sitting outside romantic Cafe in Salzburg I tasted my first ….. Heiße Liebe / Hot Love …

… it was such a simple yet almost orgasmic dessert …… I was in love …..

My love for my ex-boyfriend didn’t last long (lucky for me)  …… my love for Heiße Liebe / Hot Love is still going strong 20 years later.

…. and now I have someone special to share it with ….. my best friend …. my soul mate …. my husband ……

Heiße Liebe / Hot Love is a very simple dessert – quality vanilla ice cream ….. hot raspberries with vanilla sugar …. little whipped cream & wafers (optional).

  • 2-3 scoops Gourmet Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1 1/2 cup Frozen Raspberries
  • 2 Tbsp Vanilla Sugar (or 3 Tbsp icing sugar)
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice

STEP 1: In a small saucepan on medium heat cook together raspberries, sugar and lemon juice until raspberries are hot. Mix gently so raspberries don’t turn into mash.

STEP 2: Scoop ice cream into chilled glasses. Pour hot raspberry mixture over ice cream. Decorate with whipped cream & wafer (optional) and fresh mint.

STEP 3: Serve immediately!

…. simple ….. beautiful ….. romantic ….. delicious …..

This ice cream dessert has it all & your Valentine will fall in love with you all over again. Leave it to the Austrians to come up with something so perfect ….. like …… Heiße Liebe …..
