Yes, we made it …. we officially entered Valentine’s Day week …. in only few sleeps the most romantic day of the year will be upon us.
Today, we are at DAY 12 of 14 Days of Valentine’s Day.
Are you wondering what I have for you today? Well, wonder no more ….. it’s time for romantic breakfast dish …. RASPBERRY LAVENDER PANCAKES …
…. sweet red RASPBERRIES ….. fragrant LAVENDER ….. flavorful MAPLE SYRUP …
Can you feel the LOVE? Can you smell the RASPBERRY LAVENDER PANCAKES sprinkled with Lavender sugar and drenched in pure Canadian Maple syrup?
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 3 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 1/2 cup Buttermilk
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tbsp Butter (melted & cooled)
- 1 tsp Edible Lavender
- 2 cups Raspberries
- Lavender Sugar (optional)
- Maple Syrup
STEP 1: In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, lavender and sugar. Mix in egg, buttermilk and melted butter until. Do not overmix.
STEP 2: Heat skillet on medium heat. Spray with butter flavored cooking spray.
STEP 3: Drop about 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the skillet. Top with few raspberries. Let the pancakes cook until bubbles appear then flip and cook until golden brown.
STEP 4: Place on the plate, gently coat with flavored or plain butter, sprinkle with lavender sugar and top with hot raspberries (optional).
STEP 5: Serve with warm maple syrup.
