“Love is the poetry of the senses.”

Good morning, wonderful people!
…… love is in the air and today is Day 2 of 14 Days of Valentine’s Day ….
I am one of those people who loves to make her VALENTINE’S DAY gifts rather then buy ….. it not only saves me lot of money, but I love the look on my family and friends faces when they receive special gifts made just for them …. that is LOVE, people.
One of the gifts I love to make are edible arrangements …… edible bouquets ……
… VALENTINE SUGAR COOKIE BOUQUET ….. one of the most popular edible arrangements I ever made.
To make this VALENTINE SUGAR COOKIE BOUQUET you will need to bake assorted Sugar Cookies or cut-out cookies using your favorite recipe.
Each bouquet has 7 Sugar Cookies baked with bamboo sticks so they look like lollipops.
For each Valentine Sugar Cookie Bouquet You Will Need:
- 4-3″ Round Sugar Cookies (baked with long skewers on)
- 3-2″ Flower Daisy Shapes Sugar Cookies (baked with short skewers on)
- 2-2″ Rice Krispies Cinnamon Hearts Balls
- 28 Large Conversation Hearts Candies
- 2 Jumbo Gum Drops
- 21 Valentine Candy Corn Pieces
- 1 Tbsp of Royal Icing
- 9 Bamboo Skewers
- Pink or Clear Cellophane
- Green Floral Tape
- Floral Foam or Styrofoam
- Pink or Red Tissue Shred
- Green Tissue Paper
- 2-3 Valentine Heart Picks from Dollar Store
To Make Rice Krispies Cinnamon Hearts Balls - make regular Rice Krispies Treats and add 2 cups of hot Cinnamon Hearts when mixing in the cereal. Mix them in and with hands form 2″ balls. Stick them onto bamboo skewers and let them harden.
Step by Step Tutorial for Valentine Sugar Cookie Bouquet Project:
STEP 1: Wrap all bamboo skewers (with cookies) in green floral tape.
STEP 2: Large Flower Sugar Cookies – slice gum drops in half and stick each half to the middle of each cookie with royal icing. Stick 7 conversational hearts candies around the gum drop with the help of royal icing as well.
STEP 3: Small Flower Sugar Cookies – with help of royal icing stick candy corn pieces onto flower cookie petals with tips pointing out. Place one candy corn in the middle with tip up (you can cut it down a bit).
STEP 4: Cut cellophane into 6″ wide strips. Place each cookie and Rice Krispies balls in the middle and fold the cellophane over the cookie. Tie with ribbon.
STEP 5: Prepare your container – place piece of floral foam or Styrofoam inside the container (make sure it fits tight). Cover it around with tissue shred so the foam is not visible.
STEP 6: Arrange all your flower sugar cookies by sticking them into foam. Work from back – largest to shortest. Add Valentine picks.
TIP: When baking sugar cookies with skewers soak wooden skewers in water for at least 10 minutes prior. Otherwise they will burn.
