What a gorgeous sunny day we had yesterday …. I sure hope it will stay like this for the rest of the month.
The sunshine ….. birds …. spring flowers sure got me into vibrant & energetic mood. I could not resist making delicious PINEAPPLE KIWI PROTEIN SMOOTHIES for my clan.
PINEAPPLE KIWI PROTEIN SMOOTHIE was exactly what was needed to bring up the mood & put a smile on my Little Peanut’s face after the little mishap he had yesterday.
Yesterday my boys decided to go to the park for a bit …. Little Peanut on his Razor scooter & Hormone Boy on his long board.
…. fast forward 20 minutes later …. frantic phone call from Hormone Boy about Little Peanut hurting himself ….
Apparently LP was scooting happily along
that’s the story & they are sticking to it when his handle snapped …. poked him in his stomach … then he landed on the sidewalk …. his already injured knee popped again.
After we got home I checked his belly …. there was a bloody ring from the handlebars that punctured his skin surrounded by huge bruise …. the knee was swollen and few hours later black & blue just like the belly.
The evening was spent in tears …. changing band-aids ….. icing knee ….
Long story short …. LP had to stay home from school today to heal his injuries …. HB being homeschooled was doing his Science & English …..
…. perfect time for some healthy & delicious brain food like PINEAPPLE KIWI PROTEIN SMOOTHIES
I have to say PINEAPPLE KIWI PROTEIN SMOOTHIE is my favorite fruit smoothie right after Strawberry Banana Smoothie.
What is your favorite fruit smoothie flavor?
I like to change the taste of my fruit smoothies so sometimes I make them with reduced sugar OJ like Tropicana Trop50 ….. sometimes I use Greek yogurt.
I try not to add sugar & sweeteners into smoothies, but when I do I use little bit of Organic Agave Nectar.
What is your tip to keep SMOOTHIES as healthy & low sugar as possible?
This recipe is for 1 serving.
- 1/2 cup Kiwi (chopped)
- 1/2 cup Pineapple (chopped)
- 1/2 cup Tropicana Trop50 Orange Juice
- 1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
- 2-3 Ice Cubes
STEP 1: Place all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.
