Good morning, wonderful world!
….. what a gift to be alive ….. isn’t it?
On my desk in my office I have a calender ….. Seize the Day calendar …..
First thing in the morning when I walk into my office I read the daily message aloud …. it gives me the extra positivity to start my day with the right frame of mind …..
…. and it allows me to check my mood …. my thoughts ….. and put them on the right track ….
” To The World You Might Be One Person, But To One Person You Might Be THE WORLD”
To me my family is MY WORLD …. world I protect & keep close to my heart ….. world that allows me to be myself …..
… world I share my hope & dreams with ……. and of course, world I love to share my passion for FOOD with.
My hubby has been home for over two weeks now which is a rare occasion. We usually see him for 10 days or less every few months
so I have been making all of his favorite foods so he has something to hang on to while away from home in few days.
One of his favorite ….. Fall-off-the-bone SLOW COOKER BARBEQUE RIBS brushed with Tony Roma’s Carolina Honeys Bbq Sauce
Every time I make SLOW COOKER BARBEQUE RIBS my boys & hubby won’t leave the table till every single rib is gone … I am not even kidding …..
Last year I made a big batch for our summer party & ever since then all my friends keep asking me to bring my Finger Lickin’ SLOW
COOKER BARBEQUE RIBS to all of their parties …. I secretly think they are inviting me only because of my RIBS.
I might lose many party invitation after revealing my recipe to SLOW COOKER BARBEQUE RIBS , but I am willing to risk it.
- 2-3 pounds Pork Side Ribs
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp BBQ Sauce (I used Tony Roma’s Carolina Honeys)
- 1 Tbsp Garlic (minced)
- 1 Tsp Ground Mustard
- 1 Tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- BBQ Sauce for brushing
STEP 1: Wash and dry ribs. Cut them into individual pieces.
STEP 2: Place them on a bake pan or deep cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil. Broil ribs in the oven for 30 minutes to get rid off the excess fat.
STEP 3: Layer the ribs on the bottom of slow cooker.
STEP 4: In a bowl mix beef broth, brown sugar, maple syrup, soy sauce, bbq sauce, garlic, ground mustard, cumin and onion powder.
STEP 5: Pour mixture over the ribs and cook on low for 4 – 5 hours.
STEP 6: Remove the ribs from the slow cooker. Spread them again on the cooking sheet. Brush them generously with the sauce left in the slow cooker. Broil them on high for 10 minutes or until crunchy, but not burned and dry.
STEP 7: Remove ribs them from the oven and brush them generously with BBQ sauce.
Don’t forget….Keep Smiling….Keep Cooking!
